Police say the murders of Bandhu Prakash Pal, his wife and son have many layers, but politics isn’t one of them. Local RSS leaders confirm he wasn't a member.
While the commission didn’t mention provisions under which IndiGo's market domination would be examined, Competition Act 2002 prohibits abuse of dominant position by any enterprise.
It is argued that India-Israel ties are moving from buyer–seller dynamic to one focused on joint development & manufacturing partnership, a shift 'more durable' than traditional arms sales.
Don’t blame misfortune. This is colossal incompetence and insensitivity. So bad, heads would have rolled even in the old PSU-era Indian Airlines and Air India.
We live in extremely gruesome and volatile times, and without a doubt, hypocritical times too! I don’t claim to know the crime details here, but what I can clearly see emerging is an extremely worrisome pattern of repeated murders of Hindus in Bengal. What is even worse is Mamata is not subjected to any questioning over law and order by a media which went to extreme pains in portraying any crime against Muslims as a direct conspiracy hatched by top management of BJP and their ideological base.
This triple murder has shaken me to my core. One can clearly expect from Bengal police to quash any communal angle to this. Sometimes it is even necessary to avoid further violence. But imagine if this had happened to a Muslim family! The news would have even reached New York Times in no time and we would have been painted as a nation of minority murderers, without any thought of damaging the sensitive fabric of India by the same media.
And just when I had started to rely on the Print as a sensible news outlet of Centre-Left which I try to adhere to, you have proved your jitteriness of pandering to lawless Mamata by publishing this callous article. The article seems too eager to not question Police’s words and seems desperate to absolve Mamata even for trial. This is so much in line with slandering right wing netas even before trial. Even if the murders were not communal, such a gruesome state of affairs does not absolve Mamata from lawlessness.
I am sorry to say that despite being an admirer of Shekhar’s journalism, you are no different than NDTV and I have decided to stop reading the Print as you have broken my reverie that you are even remotely sensible.
Murdering the whole family can’t happen with the extreme hate the killers have towards the victims. There is an attempt by secular media to white wash and protect the culprits. This behaviour of secular media has not happened first, this has been a regular repeat.
You are directly blaming the victims. Shame on you Print.
Print…. Please do not decrease your standard…
Find the culprits and hang them in public.
