Indian soldiers and officers on the ground are the best judge of what action to take. They must not let the absence of an 'order' become a ground for ‘inaction’.
Mini deal will likely see no cut in 10% baseline tariff on Indian exports announced by Trump on 2 April, it is learnt, but additional 26% tariffs are set to be reduced.
PTC Industries is investing Rs 1,000 cr in 4 manufacturing plants in UP, has already started supplying titanium parts to BAE Systems for its M-777 howitzers that India also uses.
Public, loud, upfront, filled with impropriety and high praise sometimes laced with insults. This is what we call Trumplomacy. But the larger objective is the same: American supremacy.
Thank you Lt. Gen Shah, very wise and timely advice / reminder to the troops. I hope you are able to also make this message reach everyone deployed there, since they are unlikely to be reading this article.
Quite right. Only the Indian army seems to follow rules, not the PLA. Aggression is the best defence against the PLA thugs. When one is attacked with clubs wrapped in barbed wire, one cannot dial PM and seek orders.
How idiotic general, the response of the men was exemplary, the Chinese could not even own up their casualties, if firearms were used, situation could have been escalated to a full blown war, your biases show up when you ignore this issue, anyway, nothing surprising
The portrayal that junior leaders follow orders blindly irrespective of the situation is erroneous. The advice given is a fundamental of leadership, grilled into officers from the outset. Let us not try and find flaws where there are none.
Surely the General must have been in tight spots requiring situation appropriate action and the very fact that is General proves that his actions were the right ones. Between 2004-2014 whenever Pakistani forces were firing on Indian borders what Indian soldiers were instructed to do.show white flags. What they should have done in such circumstances? Fired on their own?
Please stop portraying that our soldiers didn’t react/respond. They did and made us proud. and they took the action so there are casualties at PLA side as well. Our soldiers acted accordingly and prevented full fledged war. There was a deliberate attempt by PLA to start a war but it wasn’t succeeded. Remember the same kind of an inaction the author said once had stopped nuclear attack during US-Russia cold war days. And above mentioned JCO case the army was right to had dismissed JCO for inaction. The field judgement is like two sided sharp knife and should be used with caution.
The same rules should be for the people of Kashmir.they should not waited they must retaliate to any terrorist attack from urine drinking India.
