It is a matter of fact that the US and Pak armed forces share their beds with each other. Pak can offer their armed forces to the US when needed. Apprehensive India can’t do that. Those two countries are their friends with benefits. The USA has nothing much to gain from India. India’s obsession with socialism is an obstacle to trade ties with the USA. A libertarian party at the centre would have avoided the position we are in at the moment.
