What I saw was not humour but the facial expression was saying “How dare you?”. I did not hear anyone defending or attacking Modi when he made his statement in London in April, 2018 in front of an NRI audience about doctors in India. No one in Indian media took up the issue when Modi insulted an entire professional class in India which is the biggest provider of skilled workforce all over the world and any country would accept them without questions. My parents worked as doctors for 9 years in Algeria, if you even know where that is.
So, do not defend Kohli for his behaviour. It was unbecoming of a sportsman, utterly and completely. The first person we expect a sportive spirit from is a sportman. I have not seen anyone from media defend Indian doctors who lynched by a mob but make a ruckus when the doctors go on strike because the police refuse to protect them or even file a FIR. In contrast, you make such a huge ruckus over religious or cow lynching. For every single incident of religious lynching, there are atleast 10 happening against doctors in this country. But, it is not newsworthy. That is why, Indian media have a suitable description called “PRESSTITUTES”.
Bigshot reporters write about Kakinada but do not know which state it is in and you call yourself experts. If you are an expert on cricket game, why don’t you bloody stick to it instead of otherwise claiming yourself to be an expert on everything under the sun? This is the problem with Indian media nowadays. They are all trained in tabloid or social media reporting but no serious journalism. They do not have subject matter expertise and go waddle in every subject like a water buffalo in any pond or pigs in the sewerage. And then they wonder, why people are angry at Indian media.

This Giriraj Singh type of insulting statement is surely not OK. Unless Kohli was eager to endear himself to the BJP clique who speak such language and believe that it reflects their “patriotism”.
