POOR WOMAN OF JHARKHAND WAS SOLD, GANG RAPED IN OLD DELHI AND CALLOUSNESS OF DELHI AND JHARKHAND GOVERNMENT.
As per the news dated 14.01.2020 of “The Print” News portal, one POOR WOMAN of Barhet police station Area, Dumka District of Jharkhand- 814145 was sold in Old Delhi by a miscreant named SRIJAN MURMU belonging to the village of the woman victim and later she was GANG RAPED on the knife point by miscreants who purchased her. Luckily she escaped from the place of her confinement in Old Delhi and reached her home after two months of journey by walk (the information about her journey from Delhi to her village in Dumka District of Jharkhand is mentioned elaborately in “The Print” News portal, the pdf copy of the said news is attached with this complaint for reference).
The Barhet Police of Jharkhand have registered one FIR against the TRAFFICKER SRIJAN MURMU under Section 370 (trafficking) and section 371 (habitual dealing in slaves) of the IPC but till date Jharkhanda Police has not investigated and arrested the Rape Accused persons of Old Delhi and with a mala fide intention have not booked the Accused Srijan Murmu under Section 107 of IPC i.e. “Abetment of a thing” because once Jharkhand Police book this accused under Abetment of Rape then they have to investigate and book the accused persons of Old Delhi under Section 376 of IPC for Gang rape. Hence this callousness of Jharkhand Police has deprived the Gang rape Victim from getting justice and from getting Compensation as a Gang rape victim under National Legal Service Authority (NALSA) Compensation Scheme for Women Victims/Survivors of Sexual Assault/other Crimes – 2018.
PRAYER:
1. To instruct the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand to direct Jharkhand Police to arrest Rape accused persons and submit the charge sheet in a stipulated time period for expeditious hearing.
2. To direct the Jharakhand and Delhi Government to pay Compensation of Rs. 10,00,000 to the gang rape victim as per National Legal Service Authority (NALSA) Compensation Scheme for Women Victims/Survivors of Sexual Assault/other Crimes – 2018.
