The Karnataka High Court Tuesday stated in its verdict that wearing of hijab by Muslim women did not form a part of essential religious practice in Islamic faith.
Following the verdict, advocate for the petitioners said they will soon move the Supreme Court and the girls will "continue their education while exercising their rights to wear hijab".
