India has been pleading for long to bring reforms in institutions like the United Nations, IMF, and World Bank, which it believes are West-dominated and don’t reflect current global realities.
Mini deal will likely see no cut in 10% baseline tariff on Indian exports announced by Trump on 2 April, it is learnt, but additional 26% tariffs are set to be reduced.
The Chinese are said to have hired ex-fighter pilots & air force operators from NATO countries over the past several years to help them fine-tune their operational & flying capabilities.
Public, loud, upfront, filled with impropriety and high praise sometimes laced with insults. This is what we call Trumplomacy. But the larger objective is the same: American supremacy.
Have any of these people who are demanding HAL to reopen seen the roads which goes upto the entrance of the airport? It could hardly accommodate 100 cars and 2 full flights landing can flood the entire area beyond recognition. The intense traffic gridlock at old airport road during rush hours will add to the already terrible congestion. Planning for a new airport by the Mysore Road is the best way forward.
HAL airport could be used for certain cargo and connectivity within state for small aircraft’s which could reduce traffic at BIAL and benefit HAL airport and locals travelling within the state
Please ask the DCM to tell us how he/his govt intends to resolve attendant traffic problems on the Old Aitport Road? BBMP is yet to complete the project opposite NAL and again near HAL. Both are testimony to bad and inefficient management.
Further, the govt has created bus zones on Outer Ring Road without any consideration to travelling public or private car owners. Public is held to random by errant govt bus drivers and poorly designed bus lanes. Why punish the public for failure to discipline govt bus drivers. Even the late numberbof fly overs on ORR are so poorly constructed that only 60% of utility is met.
Better to leave HAL alone and focus on projects that are limping along!!
At the time when work on second terminal is in full swing, it’s something far fetched to assume that BIAL will agree to this. Who would want to part with the revenue after investing in the second terminal? Instead government should enhance the connectivity to BIAL airport by metro, suburban, dedicated link between city and airport (Indian Railways). It’s the failure of successive governments in not providing this so far when it knew very well that BIAL is airport of the future.
Its becomes very congested if HAL opens and there is no scope to expand. Better to have new airport in MYSORE road which will help Mysore city also grow instead of only congesting bengaluru.

He is right, they must create the connectivity through metro and extend the railway routes
