I think usage of GM seeds are the only way to go in India.I think in coming years farmers yield of their crops is going to come down due to climatic change and other factors.Unless the the ruling political parties see this truth and act quickly,they are going to see more and more farmers uprising of the scale seen recently capable of uprooting a regime.I agree that strict monitoring should be there about the usage of this technology but apart from that I see this resistance on the part of authorities nothing more than the initial resistance to any new form of technology like the proverbial fear of steam engine when it came first.There is no other way to feed more and more hungry mouths in this country multiplying beyond the capabilities of planet earth.
The shriller the shilling, the greater we must assume are the attempts to cover up the tragic effects of GM on ground.
