Have BJP supporters begun to realise the hollowness of their politics? Why has the party become so dependent on one person’s so-called messianic appeal?
India’s industrial output growth saw a 10-month low in June, with Index of Industrial Production (IIP) growing by mere 1.5% as against 1.9% in May 2025.
Standing up to America is usually not a personal risk for a leader in India. Any suggestions of foreign pressure unites India behind who they see as leading them in that fight.
By using the “legacy greater than Nehru’s”, Kekar wrecks the entire premise — Nehru’s “legacy” was what India needs to get OUT of, which could possibly have been achieved by Shastri (had he not died in 1966) and which his own partymember PV Narsimha Rao (who, unfortunately, DIDN’t have Shastri’s strong character by any means but one more like that of 1921-1923 POTUS Warren Harding — coincidentally, both had good effects on their countries’ economies during their tenures).
It would have been more meaningful had he said about exceeding PVNR’s legacy (which at least IS a legacy from which to build)!!!
Are u playing the game to create difference among people bcoz ur favourite party’s can’t take one to one Modi.and no one has that Larissa ..so u stand for those who robbed the country for your information from MUMBAI big congress leader are with bjp
Two sets of people will vote in 2019. The 31%, covering the party faithful and at least one third who were won over by the promise of development, embedded in Achhe Din, and inclusion, SSSV. They will review how much of these two promises has been redeemed in the five years gone by. The 69% who remained unmoved by the greatest electoral tsunami seen in a generation will consider what all has been delivered to make them change their preferences.
Kumar Ketkar in his usual Modi Bashing mode. Carry on. Any evidence other than an innocent poser from the journalist Chandan in Times of India which prompted this question
“Why have these strident supporters and Bhakts begun to lose confidence? ”
Loosing Bypolls is a wake up call in Rajasthan but Mr Ketkar has forgotten to find uncanny coincidence between announcement of bypoll results and withdrawal of agitation by Karni Sena.
Similarly, if BJP has won cent percent or nearly cent percent seats in an election, one does not need a man of Ketkar caliber to predict that the party is likely to loose a few seats in the state.
We expect something better from you, Sir.
I am sorry sir, I do not agree with the dissent in the party theory, if anything right now, BJP is at its strongest position and even the party cadres and “bhakts” according to you know that Modi’s high octane election campaign changes even the trickiest and best strategic games of the opposition and that can be considered now in any of the state where BJP has considerable presence. Suddenly, why MSM is so much interested in covering Tripura and Meghalaya election campaign which was not at all the case 5 years back. The reason is simple Modi has made the politics relevant even in the remote corners of India. Congress should not be boyant with Rajasthan byelection victories and be complacent about 2019 Lok Sabha elections and similarly BJP is not taking the Rajasthan byelections loss very lightly, it got a good wakeup call well before Rajasthan elections which is still good eight months away and gives them a chance at soothing the anger. 2019 is challenging for the divided opposition that does not has a single binding factor that can bring them together for a Mahagatbandhan deprived of which leads to an easy Modi victory 2.0 in 2019. Its a huge challenge before Rahul Gandhi
