A debt-ridden employee of the showroom allegedly conspired with two other persons to steal Rs 30 lakh from the showroom. The fake ED raid was staged on 20 June.
The raids come after Gujarat police registered an FIR against 5 people, accusing them of duping people through fake digital arrests, forged police notices, and other means.
The alleged liquor scam, as per ED, was orchestrated between 2019 and 2022, when Baghel-led Congress ruled the state. Five others were arrested in the case in January.
Dinesh Nandwana died during an ED raid Friday, and his autopsy report is awaited. The case has spurred calls, including from Mohandas Pai, for accountability from central agencies.
