SIPRI report shows India no longer world's biggest arms importer, says its imports from Russia fell to 58 per cent in 2014–18 from 76 per cent in 2009–13.
India should have secured greater savings by pressing Russia for prices nearer the cap while sustaining high volumes. This would have preserved strategic autonomy and served economic logic.
One such website has drawn particular scrutiny for spreading fake stories that have upset not only the Indian but also foreign defence firms by falsely attributing misinformation.
Russia is a failed state which earns only from arms sales and natural resources. It’s weapon qualities are low and it only sells old models to lazy Indians who cannot get their R&D act together to manufacture weapons themselves. Russian meanwhile buys few enters weapons, re-engineers it and improves it and sells it and also spies on western nations for new weapons. Indian spies are only in Pak and India is afraid to spy China.

I may humbly point out that this acquisition was made by IGA route and there was no sovereign guarantee as well as no offset.
Very reassuring. One cannot picture the United States leasing out an Ohio class submarine to India.
