There are 280 DDC seats for which voting was held over eight phases in the Jammu and Kashmir, the first mass election after scrapping of Article 370 last year.
In a letter to State EC KK Sharma, Abdullah claimed that real voters of the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration candidates were disallowed to vote at a number of places.
Polling is taking place for 34 seats. A total of 138 candidates from Kashmir division and 111 candidates from Jammu are contesting in the fourth of the eight-phase DDC polls.
Candidates in all-women Wagoora constituency include PDP women’s wing chief, homemaker representing Gupkar alliance, ex-minister’s wife and a Kashmiri Pandit.
The incident took place as polling was on for the third phase of the DDC elections in the Union Territory Friday. The voter turnout was 25.58% till 11 am.
According to the state election commissioner, the second phase has about 7.90 lakh eligible voters across 2,142 polling booths — 1,305 in Kashmir and 837 in Jammu.
Following the transaction which is expected to be completed by November, Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd will become an associate company, with Reliance retaining a 49% stake.
