Singers & actors Gurdas Maan, Jasbir Jassi, Gippy Grewal, Ammy Virk also tweeted in favour of the farmers, while singers Daler Mehndi & Mika Singh spoke in favour of the bills.
Daler Mehndi and his late brother Shamsher Singh allegedly took 10 people to the US in the 1990s disguised as dance crew and left them there illegally.
The last time this matter flared up was when Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in a very similar directive in April, called for the relocation of stray dogs in the capital.
Finance ministry says the proposed revamp will focus on structural reforms, rate rationalisation & ease of living, & will be deliberated upon in the coming weeks.
The project is meant to be a ‘protective shield that will keep expanding’, the PM said. It is on the lines of the ‘Golden Dome’ announced by Trump, it is learnt.
Now that both IAF and PAF have made formal claims of having shot down the other’s aircraft in the 87-hour war in May, we can ask a larger question: do such numbers really matter?
It’s nice and good work by the singer and all persons who stand with the farmers. But I must say that why not farmers sales his crops directly to the consumers, with this they will get more profits. I know it’s hard. But they can build a society without involving the government. But be sure that society by the farmers and for the farmers and consumers.
We all need to support Punjab farmers to oppose the bill and whoever in favor please ask the farmers in the countries where the similar bill in place.- They (farmers) are badly effected and demoralized due to corporate interfacing in the farming.
Thanks to the print journalists to bring the ground reality
This is nice. Now can we ask these singers to start farming for three years? When the term “armchair critic” was invented, the person who did that surely knew the traits of people who have an opinion about anything under the Sun. A fun fact – Let us ask these “artistes” to stop using ultra fair girls in their songs. They sometimes glow so much that it feels like the light of Fair and Lovely is still shining on them and they are unaware of the racial undertones in their own songs. One can expect this much from these “woke artistes” expecially when its related to their own field of work.
So artists giving opinion on a bill is wrong in a country where sadhus and babas give opinion on economy. And let me remind you sir , almost every one of these artists have grown up farming or in a way related to farming background plus with national media ignoring these protests completely these artists provide it the wide reach required.
Shame that haven’t listened to the quality Punjabi song and come here judge them on the songs that were clearly for the audience pleasing . Accept this majority of the audience don’t listen to quality songs
