Coronavirus or Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It is a viral disease that turned into a pandemic in early 2020. The first known case was recorded in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Coronavirus has multiple variants such as Delta and Omicron, and its most common symptoms are fever, chills and sore throat.
The virus spreads through liquid particles when the infected person coughs, sneezes or breathes – it has a high multiplication rate. Therefore, the world had taken measures to quarantine or isolate those infected. While the disease can be mild and recoverable, those older or with underlying medical conditions are more likely to be adversely affected. The disease caused according to WHO estimates 3 million deaths in 2020.
I am also reading other news papers and they have reported this incidence in other style. They report that Shramik trains were arranged to
transport migrants for various places. Buses were also arranged by state governments to transport migrants within state. Of course there was heavy rush for return and the arrangement had to adopt the turn system to transport batch by batch. The Governments are also arranging food. Even this matter went to supreme court and they also expressed the practical difficulty to clear the rush as the Covid-19 had suddenly attacked world over. Congress party is playing politics all over the country hoping to get some votes in the next elections. Some of the journalists also following with no hopes to get votes. However the Governments continuing their work and news papers are reporting the progress made.
Out of intellectual curiosity, for I do not read their tweets regularly, checked Smita Prakash, Navika Kumar, Rahul Shivshankar and Rahul Kanwal. All in the business of reporting news. None of them expressed any sorrow or offered condolences for such a tragic loss of human lives.
