This lockdown will be big threat to print media. People started adopting the digital in this lockdown period. But it doesn,t mean that print media will end, there is lot of scope and hope in print media. We will work hard to bring back the charishma of print media again.

Printed newspapers have become beholden to advertisers. They are adpapers, not newspapers anymore. News is incidental for vending the advertisements. In Kannada, the prominent newspaper Vijayavani used to have on its front page a full page advertisement. On good days for the newspaper, it would extend to three more inner pages. Now, we are seeing the front page of newspaper actually carries news.
