Former prime minister Imran Khan and his foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi were jailed for flaunting secret documents and not returning them to the government.
Khan is accused of misusing contents of cipher to build narrative that his government was ousted due to a conspiracy hatched by the US, a charge denied by Washington.
Khan was arrested in August for allegedly violating Official Secrets Act by disclosing a secret diplomatic cable sent by Pakistan's embassy in Washington in March last year.
