Dice have been found dating to the Bronze Age in various Harappan sites in present-day northwest India and throughout Pakistan. And it’s very possible that some had female owners.
This world is being restructured and redrawn by one man, and what’s his power? It’s not his formidable military. It’s trade. With China, it turned on him.
@Sanjiv Bhalla : Since when does Sardar Patel belong to a particular party? By your logic, someone should pay for all the statues and monuments erected to honor Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Indira & Rajiv Gandhi?
Now, if Congress erected statues of a Hand, or BJP erected statues of Lotus flowers, that would definitely be paid for by them. As should Mayawati pay for the Elephants.
Sanjiv Bhai: How you never pick the million statues setup by others and that one done by Mr Modi is shown as an example? Are there no other statues in this country brother that is set by political party in power? I agree though that Ms Mayawati cannot be charged. I see no reason.
Krishna Sir, normally every park has a statue. They introduce a pleasant calm to the atmosphere; they also remind us of some good people from our shared past. I mentioned Sardar Patel’s statue not because I have anything against statues in general, or against Mr Modi, but because of the money that has been spent on it. 3000 crores! Then we have Shiva ji’s statue coming up. That’s another approx. 2000 crores. Now we also have Shri Ram’s statue coming up. If not many more, then at least those of Bajrangbali, Shri Krishna and Ma Durga can be expected in future. Just add up the cost and it will easily cross 10,000 crores. We are a poor country, Krishna Sir! So much money can be used in other ways to HELP the society. We have had our own governments ever since country’s independence 70 years ago, but all these statue expenditures have started only in Mr Modi’s regime in last 5 years. Are these BJP fellows more devoted to gods and more faithful to Shiva ji than everyone else? You decide.
With full respect for the honorable court, I would like to say that she cannot be charged for the elephants, but only for her own statues. The former maybe her perception of beautifying the landscape, and its accidental that the elephant is also her party’s symbol. Is, anywhere on those elephants, etched: Bahujan Samaj Party? What if she had made statues of peacocks, or swans, or horses — again, by her perception to beautify the landscape, would she be asked to pay the cost?
What about someone deciding to install Sardar Patel’s statue? Will that person, Mr Modi be also asked to pay the cost? Sardar Patel was an important leader of the freedom movement, but how and when was it established that he was the MOST IMPORTANT of all leaders of that time? Isn’t it only a “perception” of Mr Modi that Sardar was the tallest?

A landmark judgment. Over time, the principle could be extended to other statues as well.
