Okhla Bird Sanctuary was once a jewel on the East Asian Flyway. Now bird numbers have dropped, habitats are degraded, and visitors are mostly morning walkers, couples, and reel-makers.
This is the game every nation is now learning to play. Some are finding new allies or seeing value among nations where they’d seen marginal interest. The starkest example is India & Europe.
