Officers from Army, Navy, IAF, CRPF, BSF, ITBP and other central police forces are crying foul over the panel formed by DoPT to discuss non-functional upgradation.
The veterans expressed their outrage in a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind, saying it is "unusual and unacceptable" that political leaders take credit for military operations.
Finance ministry says the proposed revamp will focus on structural reforms, rate rationalisation & ease of living, & will be deliberated upon in the coming weeks.
The project is meant to be a ‘protective shield that will keep expanding’, the PM said. It is on the lines of the ‘Golden Dome’ announced by Trump, it is learnt.
Now that both IAF and PAF have made formal claims of having shot down the other’s aircraft in the 87-hour war in May, we can ask a larger question: do such numbers really matter?
Comment:for the gods sake soldiers don’t fight for other soldiers they fight for country and they are lot of nationalist views with them, this article is written by some dirty socialist scumbag where everywhere this socialism is adapted is been through chaos , and leftist libitards are just out of mind hating Hindus , Hinduism is their daily work , and what the fuck does Mayawati do stopping Hindus to vote giving lots of money only to muslim community and letting Rohingyas in and u libitards are loosing all over the world in US, Europe and now you are loosing ur shitty brains and after all ur thukda-thukda dream is not full filling , u ugly ass comrades
A comment typical of civilians that have never ever looked at uniformed men/women as thinking beings. The uniformed men go into combat as a team and succeed when they keep cooler heads as compared to the opposing lot. In such outfits the men are from one area with the strong relationships. Cohesion is the name of the game. The phrase “Hindu elitism, and consequent favours to some within a fighters team, will result in suppressed revulsion” is entirely inapplicable. The main task of the officers is to provide and ensure the cool heads and the team cohesion. Rest of the remarks after “…revulsion” should be just expunged. No civilians have it in them to destroy the brotherhood of the uniform. Not Modi nor RaGa nor Mayavati and positively not Mr Bhatla.
“Soldiers fight because of unit/sub-unit cohesion. They do not want to let down their comrades in a battle.”
Well said, General.
And this cogently explains why politicizing the Army by Modi government will backfire with great ferocity in any future real action. Soldiers love their brother-soldiers and officers, and they set out as a roaring “team” against the enemy. Collective bravado is reckless bravado, and results in astonishing acts of bravery, sacrifice, and victory. Hindu elitism, and consequent favours to some within a fighters team, will result in suppressed revulsion, and things will never be the same again. For the sake of our brave soldiers, and for the sake of our beautiful country whose many honored institutions have been destroyed in the last five years, it is absolutely mandatory that Narendra Modi and his goons do not return to power.
