The American aerospace company delivered the AH-64E Apaches choppers as part of a 2020 contract. They are one of the world’s most advanced multi-role combat helicopters flown by the US Army.
Attack helicopters are used to provide direct close air support for ground troops & can perform anti-tank operations. Twenty-two Apache helicopters already in use with IAF.
Boeing currently has 62 aircraft in operation with the Indian military — Apache, Chinook, P8I, C17 — and is eyeing fighter contracts from IAF and Navy.
