Mumbai, Apr 2 (PTI) Shreyansh Somaiya inflicted a defeat on Palaash Mapara to end his run as the sole leader in their sixth round contest of the All India Chess Masters here on Thursday.

Somaiya now shares the lead with Shriram Mhasane and AGM Rajveer Nahar, who all are on 5.5 points each in the FIDE Classical Tournament.

Playing on the top board with white pieces, Palaash was unable to counter Shreyansh’s clever tactical manoeuvres and suffered his first loss of the competition.
