New Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Friday officially shifted the ongoing Pakistan Super League to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
In a statement, PCB said that the last eight fixtures, including the final, which were previously scheduled in Rawalpindi, Multan and Lahore, respectively, will now be held in the UAE.
“The PCB confirms that the remaining fixtures of the HBL PSL X have been shifted to the UAE,” it said.
However, the exact schedule has yet to be announced. “The exact schedule of matches, outlining the dates and venues, will be shared in due course,” the statement said.

The announcement comes amid tensions between India and Pakistan. On Wednesday, India launched Operation Sindoor, striking terror infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in response to the deadly Pahalgam attack on 22 April.
Since the strikes, Islamabad has increased the intensity of cross-border shelling and has tried to target a number of Indian cities. On Thursday, India retaliated with the “same intensity”, neutralising one air defence system in Lahore.
As a result, a series of meetings took place between the franchise and the PCB chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, where the decision to relocate the matches was reached.
