Varanasi: Dismissed BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav’s nomination as the Samajwadi Party candidate against Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency was rejected on Wednesday, poll officials said.

Yadav was served notices Tuesday by the Varanasi returning officer over discrepancies in the two sets of nomination papers submitted by him.

In the first set of papers on April 24, he had mentioned that he was dismissed from the Border Security Force.

On April 29 he submitted a second set of papers this time as the Samajwadi Party nominee for the Lok Sabha seat but did not give out this information.

He was also required to submit a no-objection certificate from the BSF, giving reasons for his dismissal.

Yadav accused the BJP of resorting to “dictatorial steps” to stop him from fighting elections.

“My nomination was rejected today even though I had furnished the NOC from BSF that was required by the RO, he claimed.

I am a farmer’s son and I was here to raise the voices of farmers and jawans,” he told reporters.

His counsel Rajesh Gupta said, “We will approach the Supreme Court”.

Very disappointing to find institutions-organs of state wilting under ruling party bigwigs pressure throwing to the winds the norms and equality before law concept with impunity !

Ironically, the rejection of nomination papers of Mr. Tej Bahadur Yadav is quite unfortunate reflecting very evidently that Mr. Narendra Modi
is in a state of panic and nervousness ! Otherwise., NaMo should not have given importance to Tej Bahadur Yadav !

Moreover, the fact cannot be denied that allusion of complacency and invincibility does not allow NaMo to learn a lesson from his past mistakes !

In February, 2016 NaMo committed a blunder and as a result there of sprang up a leader of national stature Dr.Kanhaiya Kumar from JNU
    Delhi !

Then this lapse on part of NaMo is likely to throw another leader in the making in form of Tej Bahadur Yadav ! NaMo got done whatever he could do under the spell of power but he has not foreseen its far reaching consequences and ramifications !

It is beyond imagination and logic why Yadav’s nomination paper has been allowed to be rejected .

Moreover, in reality Tej Bahadur Yadav sacrificed his job for the sake of exposing corrupt and malpractices prevalent in the security forces and
paramilitary forces ! In way, he had been strengthening the hands of NaMo in his fight against corruption.

Amazingly, Tej Bahadur Yadav first lost his job for resisting corruption and culture of serving sub-standard quality meals to the security forces persons defending and safeguarding Indian borders in very adverse circumstances and climatic vagaries !

Now for no fault of his own, he has been deprived of his democratic right to contest Lok Sabha Poll from Varanasi by getting his nomination
papers rejected. He wished to raise his voice in the Parliament against various corrupt and malpractices going on in the security forces !

What a way and shrewd move to brush the CORRUTION under the carpet of INDISCIPLINE !

Coming Generations will not forgive NaMo for his broad day blunders , follies and drawbacks he did commit during his five year term in the
hot seat (2014-2019) . NaMo must introspect does he deserve a second term in light of his flip-flop, disappointing and worst ever performance
in the annals of Indian Democracy ? However, on the contrary., he is crazy and mad for his lust for power !

  2. EC went out of its way to support Modi. EC’s credibility is at its lowest post independence. In 5 years, this is a great achievement of Modi government.
