Youth killed, 7 injured as two vehicles collide in Jharkhand

Seraikela (Jharkhand), Apr 14 (PTI) One youth was killed and seven others were injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles on NH 33 under Chowka police station of Jharkhand’s Seraikela-Kharswan district on Tuesday, a police officer said.

The incident occurred when a collision took place between an SUV and a sedan Tata-Ranchi highway.

A 22-year-old youth onboard the sedan died on the spot while seven others, including two women, were seriously injured in the accident.

The police, with the help of locals, took the injured to a nearby hospital, from where doctors referred them to a Jamshedpur facility.

Their condition was stated to be stable, the officer said.

The traffic on the highway was disrupted for a few hours till the police removed the heavily damaged vehicles with the help of a crane. PTI BS NN NN
