Hamirpur, Feb 4 (PTI) A waste management plant will be set up in the Tounidevi area in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur district for the disposal of garbage and fecal waste from Kaswa and its nearby areas.

The plant will be constructed at a cost Rs 1 crore and a team in Saturday inspected the land for the project in the Barin gram panchayat.

State coordinator of the Swachh Bharat Mission, Sanjeev Rana, visited the area on behalf of the Panchayati Raj Department along with district coordinator Anil Patial, block coordinator Sujay Katoch as well as Barin panchayat head Ravindra Thakur.

Plants will be set up across the state to tackle fecal waste management, Rana said. He also sought people’s cooperation for the setting up the plant in Tounidevi at the earliest. PTI COR BPL ANB ANB
