Nainital, Jul 3 (PTI) The Uttarakhand High Court has taken a stern view regarding the alleged non-compliance with its earlier directives concerning a petition that sought protection for women and children residing at a farmhouse in Udham Singh Nagar district, following a forcible takeover of the property.
Saira Vadra (sister-in-law of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) and another woman, Nasreen Sanga, are currently locked in a legal dispute over the ownership of the farmhouse, Khan Farm.
While hearing the petition, a single-judge bench led by Justice Alok Mahra directed the district magistrate and the senior superintendent of police to ensure strict compliance with the order passed on June 11, and to appear personally before the court on July 6.
The petition, filed by Sikandar Alam Khan, states that the farmhouse in the Kichha area of the district has become the subject of a family property dispute.
Petitioner Sikandar Alam Khan’s counsel, Puran Singh Rawat, stated that both Saira Vadra and Nasreen Sanga have staked a claim to the property, whereas the farmhouse actually belongs to the petitioner’s aunt.
The petitioner stated that his aunt, Kulsum Khan, had executed a registered will in 2024 in favour of Saira Vadra (the late Kulsum Khan’s sister) and himself. Following her death on December 18, 2025, the opposing party (Nasreen Sanga) —allegedly in collusion with mafia elements—forcibly entered the property, disregarding both the registered will and a court stay order.
It was further alleged that the respondents failed to comply with the court’s previous directives in this matter.
Seeking court intervention, the petitioner requested that the safety of the women and children living at the farm be ensured and that the court’s previous orders be enforced. PTI DPT AMJ AMJ
