Mau (UP), Apr 2 (PTI) A man on Thursday allegedly beat his sleeping father to death with a stick in their Inderpur village home, under the Ghosi area, the police said.
The accused, identified as Harikesh, allegedly attacked his father, Basau (50), at 4 am.
After receiving information, the police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem examination. Police said the accused is believed to be mentally unstable and has been arrested.
A forensic team also visited the scene and collected evidence, officials said.
