Mathura: In a re-run of the Delhi incident, a man’s body was found stuck under a car on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh Tuesday, said the police.

According to information, the car was heading towards Noida from Agra when the body caught the attention of security personnel at a toll booth in Mathura’s Mant.

The car was driven by a Delhi-based man named Virendra Singh, who is currently being interrogated by the police.

“There was a dense fog on the expressway last night (Monday), hence there was little visibility due to which the man who met with some accident got stuck under his car,” Superintendent of Police (SP), Dehat, Trigun Bisen told ANI, as he quoted suspected accused Singh.

Cameras along the expressway are being scanned. People living in nearby villages are also being interrogated about the incident to establish the victim’s identity.

On 1 January, 20-year-old Anjali Singh from Delhi was found dead after being allegedly hit and dragged for several kilometers by a car driven by five youths in Kanjhawala area. A total of seven people, including the five occupants of the car, were arrested in the wake of the incident.
