Lucknow, Jul 24 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has convened the third session of the state legislature from August 3, officials said on Friday.
Assembly Principal Secretary Pradeep Kumar Dubey said the Governor has summoned the third session of the 18th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Monday.
Legislative Council Principal Secretary Rajesh Singh said the Upper House has also been convened from 11 am on August 3.
The announcement comes days after the state cabinet, chaired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, approved the proposal to convene the session.
The session is expected to take up the supplementary budget for the 2026-27 financial year and other legislative business.
Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna had earlier said the government would present supplementary demands for grants for the 2026-27 fiscal year in accordance with constitutional provisions.
