Muzaffarnagar (UP), Jul 4 (PTI) A police constable has been suspended on charges of corruption while three others for alleged negligence of duty in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district, an official said on Friday.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Aditya Bansal said constable Tarun, attached to the office of Circle Officer Bhopa, has been suspended on charges of corruption following a complaint.

An inquiry into the allegations will be conducted by the superintendent of police (City), he added.

Meanwhile, three constables posted at Ratanpuri police station — Gaurav, Sachin, and Rahul — have been suspended for dereliction of duty. Bansal said the three went on leave without obtaining prior approval from senior officers.

Further action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry, he said. PTI COR NAV OZ OZ
