New Delhi: Union Minister Jitendra Singh held a “Public Durbar” in block Marheen in Hiranagar sector, district Kathua Sunday, addressing public grievances and providing on-the-spot solutions to several issues.
The nearly two-hour public interaction saw the Union minister meeting with individual citizens and delegations, resolving many matters immediately and issuing instructions for swift action on others, said the Press Information Bureau (PIB).
This Public Durbar marked Singh’s third such initiative in different parts of Kathua district in recent months. The Union minister also emphasised the government’s commitment to serving citizens and reducing public inconvenience.
“The Modi government is focused on delivery of public services at their doorsteps, with an objective of ensuring ease of living for the citizens, rising above the narrow considerations of politics, caste, creed and region,” Singh stated.
The event saw the presence of the entire district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas, along with senior officers from various departments including PWD, PDD, NHAI, Police, and Revenue.
