Union Coal Ministry launches NIRMAN scheme for minorities appearing for UPSC

Financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh for qualifying candidates to be provided.

New Delhi: Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy launched a portal “Noble Initiative for Rewarding Mains Aspirants of National Civil Services Examination (NIRMAN)” in New Delhi Tuesday.

Under the scheme, eligible candidates of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, female or third gender, and permanent residents of any of the 39 operational districts of Coal India will be given financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the candidates who have qualified the preliminary round of the civil service examination 2024, a PIB press release stated.

The entire application process will be completed through the dedicated portal of the Noble Initiative for Rewarding Mains Aspirants of National Civil Services Examination (NIRMAN). The link for registration will be available on the official website of Coal India.
