Pithoragarh, May 12 (PTI) A man on Friday murdered his aunt, her daughter and daughter-in-law at Bursum village in Gangolihat sub-division of the district following an argument.

The accused identified as Santosh Ram is on the run, Gangolihat Revenue Police Officer (tehsildar) Abrar Ahmad said. Ram often quarrelled with his aunt, the second wife of his uncle Sher Ram, he said. He had a quarrel with her early on Friday morning too. When her daughter and daughter-in-law tried to stop him he assaulted all of them with a sharp-edged weapon, killing them on the spot, Ahmad said. The deceased were identified as Hemanti Devi (68), Rama Devi (25) and Maya Devi (21), he said. PTI COR ALM RDT
