Betul (MP), Apr 3 (PTI) Two men were killed and four others injured when their speeding jeep ran into a wall in Gauthan area here, police said.
The incident took place on Parasia highway at around 11 pm on Thursday, said an official of Kotwali police station.
The driver of the Bolero jeep lost control of the vehicle and it collided with the wall of Man Mandir Lawn, he said.
Prafull Anil Thoke (25) and Puneet Thackeray (25), residents of Arjun Nagar, died on the spot. The four injured persons were being treated at the district hospital and two of them were said to be in critical condition.
According to eyewitnesses, it was raining lightly at the time of the incident.
The front of the vehicle was completely damaged with the airbags deployed, they said.
Local residents who rushed to the spot on hearing a crash pulled out the victims who were trapped inside the vehicle.
