New Delhi, Apr 22 (PTI) A shooter of the Tillu Tajpuria gang, who was out on parole and absconding, was apprehended after a brief exchange of fire with the Delhi Police’s Special Cell here in the Rohini area in the early hours of Wednesday, sources said.
The encounter took place in Sector 36 when a Special Cell team intercepted the accused, identified as Robin.
According to police, both sides fired rounds during the encounter. The accused sustained a bullet injury on his leg and was overpowered by the police team.
Police said Robin was convicted in a murder case and sentenced to life imprisonment. He had jumped parole and was on the run.
