Three killed in head-on bike collision in Bihar’s West Champaran

Bettiah (Bihar) Apr 2 (PTI) Three persons, including a father-son duo, died on Thursday after two motorcycles collided in Bihar’s West Champaran district, police said.

The incident took place in Sikta police station area of West Champaran.

The deceased have been identified as Faiyaz and his son Reyaz, both residents of Kangli police station area of the district.

The third deceased is suspected to be from Nepal, and his identity is yet to be confirmed.

“Around 4,15 pm, two bikes coming from opposite directions crashed into each other in Sikta police station area here, leaving four persons injured,” Narkatiaganj SDPO Jay Prakash Singh said.

All four were rushed to GMC Hospital, where three of them succumbed to their injuries during treatment, Singh said.

The fourth person has been referred to Rahmania Medical Centre in Motihari for better treatment, he added.

Singh said that post-mortem examination of the bodies will be conducted at the Government Medical College Hospital. PTI SUK MNB
