Think India to host 9th National Symposium on Landmark Judgments on 4 January

This year’s programme will focus on notable cases, including safeguards against summoning lawyers, and the Pragya Singh Thakur case, featuring senior advocates who have appeared in these matters.

New Delhi: Think India, a pan-India forum, will organise the 9th edition of its National Symposium on Landmark Judgments on 4 January 2026 at the Prime Minister’s Museum and Library, Teen Murti Bhawan from 9 am to 6 pm.

According to a release, this year’s programme will focus on notable cases, including safeguards against summoning lawyers, the Pragya Singh Thakur case, the three-year legal practice requirement, and the Presidential reference questioning the court’s authority to impose deadlines on the Governor and the President. The event will feature senior advocates who have appeared in these matters.

Past editions have hosted speakers such as Justice RC Lahoti (former chief justice of India), Justice Chandramauli Prasad (former Supreme Court judge) and SY Quraishi (former chief election commissioner), among other judges and senior advocates.

This year’s speakers listed in the release include Justice Saurabh Banerjee of the Delhi High Court, Attorney General R Venkataramani, senior advocate at Supreme Court C S Vaidyanathan, and Additional Solicitor General (Supreme Court) S D Sanjay. Also speaking are Additional Solicitor General (Supreme Court) Archana Pathak Dave, senior advocates Siddhartha Dave, AS Nadkarni and Vijay Hansaria, senior advocate at Delhi High Court Sanjoy Ghose, Dentons Link Legal partner Shravan Yammanur, MP and retired judge Mahendra Singh Solanki, standing counsel for Gujarat in Supreme Court Swati Ghildiyal, and advocate-on-record at Supreme Court Ayush Anand.
