Hyderabad, Apr 21 (PTI) The employees of state-run Telangana Road Transport Corporation (RTC) on Tuesday night announced a strike in support of their demands, including merger of the Corporation with government, after talks with a panel of bureaucrats failed.
The RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders said the strike will begin from April 22 morning.
The committee sought four weeks time for submitting a report to the government on the demands of the employees. The government would respond later, a JAC leader said.
“We feel the committee (of officials) has been appointed to make us defer the strike. We felt that it was appointed not to address problems but to buy time,” he told reporters.
The demands of the employees include pending wage revision and merger of RTC with the government. PTI SJR VVK SJR SA
