Bhubaneswar, May 7 (PTI) Odisha Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling on Thursday inaugurated a telemedicine facility at a hospital in Kalahandi district, which is likely to benefit patients in nearly “70 remote villages”.
Mahaling said the “24×7 telemedicine facility” is a meaningful step toward improving healthcare access for communities in Kalahandi, especially in remote tribal and rural areas.
The facility has been set up at Vedanta Lanjigarh Hospital in the district.
It is expected to benefit “more than 70,000 people across nearly 70 remote villages in Kalahandi and adjoining regions”, the company said in a statement. PTI BBM RBT
