Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Apr 10 (PTI) A tehsildar in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district was placed under suspension for alleged negligence in curbing illegal mining, a revenue department official said on Friday.

The order to suspend Vasmat tehsildar Sharada Dalvi under Maharashtra Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 1979 was issued on Thursday, he added.

“Dalvi was suspended for negligence in illegal sand mining and transit after complaints were received by the department. Dalvi has been asked to report to the office of the collector and not leave the district headquarters without permission,” the official added. PTI AW BNM
