New Delhi: The Editors Guild of India has expressed concern over misuse of digital and social media after reports that a now-defunct website put ‘on sale’ 90 Muslim women, mostly Indians, seemingly in a bid to target and harass them.
ThePrint’s Special Correspondent Fatima Khan was one of those targeted in these posts.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Guild said the “vile attack is symptomatic of underlying misogyny in some sections of the society, especially against Muslim women as well as those who have been outspoken critics of the current government.”
