Jaipur, Apr 25 (PTI) Barmer recorded the highest temperature in Rajasthan on Saturday, reaching 45.7 degrees Celsius, which is 5.4 degrees above normal, as temperatures rose across the state.
The Meteorological Department reported heatwave conditions at several locations.
Jaisalmer had a maximum temperature of 44.9 degrees Celsius, followed by Bikaner at 44.5 degrees, Jodhpur at 44.4 degrees, and Kota at 44.3 degrees.
Chittorgarh reached 44.2 degrees Celsius, while Sri Ganganagar recorded 43.9 degrees.
Pilani and Churu both hit 43.7 degrees Celsius, and Jaipur and Alwar recorded temperatures of 41.8 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperatures are likely to rise by another 1-2 degrees Celsius in parts of the state over the next few days, with isolated heatwave conditions expected in western and northeastern regions during that time, the MeT said.
Temperatures in some northwestern areas could climb to 44-45 degrees Celsius.
