Kozhikode (Kerala), Apr 16 (PTI) RMP leader K K Rema on Thursday alleged that CPI(M) workers are circulating fake propaganda that her former personal staff member was injured while making a bomb in Vadakara.

Addressing a press conference, Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) MLA Rema said her former personal staff member was injured while bursting crackers as part of Vishu celebrations.

She said Riju suffered a minor injury to his finger and was shifted to Vadakara Cooperative Hospital.

“Fake propaganda is being circulated that Riju’s hand was cut off following a hazard while making a bomb. CPI(M) cyber teams are competing to circulate the fake information,” she said.

She alleged that the misinformation was being used against her and the RMP to portray them in a bad light.

Riju said the accident occurred while he was celebrating Vishu with his family at their house.

“But CPI(M) cyber handles and leaders are claiming that bombs were being made as the election results will be announced soon. This is a fake narrative,” he said.

The RMP is part of the UDF, and Rema, the sitting MLA from Vadakara, contested the Assembly election held on April 9.

The results will be announced on May 4. PTI TBA TBA KH
