New Delhi, Apr 21 (PTI) President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday condoled the loss of lives due to an explosion at a fireworks unit in Kerala and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

At least 13 people died, and many others suffered burn injuries following a blast at the fireworks manufacturing unit in Mundathicode in Thrissur district of Kerala on Tuesday, officials said.

“Saddened to learn about the loss of lives due to an explosion at a fireworks unit in Thrissur, Kerala. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” Murmu said in a post on X. PTI AKV MPL MPL
