New Delhi: As President Droupadi Murmu completed the second year of her term, she remembered her youth and shared her experiences of caring for plants and animals. She also interacted with students and visited one of the important libraries of the President’s Estate Thursday, a PIB press release stated.
The President inaugurated a Skill India Centre to provide skills development and entrepreneurship opportunities to the youth. She also inaugurated a Cricket Pavilion at the Sports Ground of Dr Rajendra Prasad Kendriya Vidyalaya.
In her short remarks, Droupadi Murmu said, “I am happy to note that in the last two years, many such decisions have been taken which has increased the engagement of common people with Rashtrapati Bhavan.” Droupadi Murmu also appreciated the efforts made for promoting reading culture and sports culture in the President’s Estate. She also assured that she will continue to work for the development of all sections of the society, especially the deprived and backward classes.
