PM Modi marks StartupIndia’s 9th anniversary, calls it ‘a landmark’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday marked the ninth anniversary of the StartupIndia program, highlighting its role in empowering young entrepreneurs and fostering innovation, a PIB press release stated.

Modi said the government has “left no stone unturned” in encouraging entrepreneurship. In a message on X, he described StartupIndia as a “landmark initiative that has redefined innovation, entrepreneurship and growth.”

Modi said the program has witnessed the transformation of countless innovative ideas into successful startups over the past nine years. He outlined the government’s multi-pronged approach to supporting startups, including initiatives aimed at improving ease of doing business, providing greater access to resources and offering support at every stage of the entrepreneurial journey.

The PM also highlighted the government’s efforts in promoting innovation and incubation centers to encourage risk-taking among young Indians. He said the success of StartupIndia reflects a dynamic, confident and future-ready India.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem that contributes to the nation’s self-reliance (Aatmanirbhar Bharat). He concluded his message by commending the young individuals in the startup world and urging others to embrace entrepreneurship, assuring them that they “won’t be disappointed!”
