New Delhi: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, will embark on an official visit to Saudi Arabia between 29 and 30 October to reinforce the strategic partnership between the two nations and explore new avenues for trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
During his visit, Goyal will participate in the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh, a prominent gathering of global leaders, investors, and innovators. According to a PIB release, Goyal’s participation will highlight India’s economic growth, focus on sustainable development and artificial intelligence, and showcase opportunities in sectors like renewable energy, digital infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing.
In addition to the FII, Goyal will inaugurate the Diwali Utsav at Lulu Hypermarket in Riyadh, celebrating the festival with the Indian community in the Kingdom. He will also unveil the One District, One Product (ODOP) Wall at the Indian Embassy, promoting India’s diverse cultural heritage and local craftsmanship.
Bilateral meetings with key Saudi ministers, including the Minister of Commerce, Minister of Industry & Mineral Resources, Minister of Investment, and Minister of Energy, are scheduled to discuss collaborative efforts in energy transition, digital transformation, and trade facilitation.
