Mumbai, Jun 12 (PTI) Local train services on the Central Railway’s Harbour Line were disrupted during rush hours on Friday morning after some wires fell on the overhead electric (OHE) equipment near Chembur station in Mumbai, officials said.
The disruption was reported at 9.45 am, though train services on the affected corridor remained suspended since 9.10 am, according to railway authorities.
Central Railway (CR) personnel attended the site and initiated restoration work.
A CR spokesperson said the disruption was caused due to “foreign wires falling onto the OHE near Chembur station”, affecting movement of trains on the up Harbour Line.
Traffic was restored at 9.52 am after the obstruction was cleared, the spokesperson added.
The disruption delayed the suburban services on the Harbour Line by 15 to 20 minutes.
