New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Police, Thursday, have arrested two more accused, Ravi Bansal and Sachin Karanwal, in connection with the death of 27-year-old Noida techie Yuvraj Mehta. Bansal and Karanwal are the owners of Lotus Greens Constructions, the company originally in possession of the plot with the waterlogged ditch Mehta fell into and drowned around midnight Saturday.

The office of Wiztown Developers, the current owner of the land, was also sealed by Gautam Buddha Nagar Police.

Yuvraj Mehta died on the night of January 16 when his car plunged into an open ditch, filled with water, in sector 150. Just days later, the owner of Wiztown Developers, Abhay Kumar was arrested by Greater Noida police.

Another FIR, filed against five builders including MZ Wiztown and Lotus Greens Construction, has been lodged under multiple sections relating to environmental protection and water pollution, as well as public safety.

According to reports, the deep pit on the builder’s property was filled with stagnant water, and had become highly polluted and muddy, posing a threat to public health. There were no barricades or warning signs around it.
