Thane, Apr 2 (PTI) A 10-year-old boy drowned while swimming in a lake in Maharashtra’s Thane city, police said on Thursday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at the lake in the Mogarpada locality under the Kasarwadavali police station area.
The boy went to the lake with his friends, entered the water to swim and drowned, a police official said.
Those along with him raised an alarm following which police and fire personnel rushed to the spot and later fished out the body.
The police have since registered a case of accidental death, the official said. PTI COR GK
